Here’s a song that will bless you. I’m sharing “The Father’s House” with you to give you something special on your journey deeper into the the Father’s heart.

Please keep me in prayer as I try to find time to write the final two chapters of the book. Praise the Lord, last week four chapters were completed because I went away on a writer’s retreat!

My dad is still clinging to life, although he has not eaten anything since getting back to the nursing home after going to the hospital with congestive heart failure. God isn’t finished with him yet. Isn’t it wonderful that we have a Divine Daddy who chooses the perfect time for Home-coming?! My dad doesn’t say much, and he has become very confused. But I know that our Abba-Father is silently working in his soul.

“The Father’s House” by Cory Asbury

Sometimes on this journey
I get lost in my mistakes
What looks to me like weakness
Is a canvas for your strength
And my story isn’t over
My story’s just begun
And failure won’t define me
‘Cause that’s what my Father does
Yeah, failure won’t define me
‘Cause that’s what my Father does

Ooh, lay your burdens down
Ooh, here in the Father’s house
Check your shame at the door
‘Cause it ain’t welcome anymore
Ooh, you’re in the Father’s house

Arrival’s not the end game
The journey’s where you are
You never wanted perfect
You just wanted my heart
And the story isn’t over
If the story isn’t good
Failure’s never final
When the Father’s in the room
Failure’s never final
When the Father’s in the room

Prodigals come home
The helpless find hope
Love is on the move
When the Father’s in the room
Prison doors fling wide
The dead come to life
Love is on the move
When the Father’s in the room
Miracles take place
The cynical find faith
Love is breaking through
When the Father’s in the room

The Jericho walls are quaking
Strongholds now are shaking
Love is breaking through
When the Father’s in the room
Love is breaking through
When the Father’s in the room

My brother passed away a year ago. He had not eaten anything for over ten days and was not conscious for most of that time. I never realized a human being could live so long without any food or water. He had nothing to keep him sustained but stayed with us until God’s perfect time for his homecoming.
Praying for your family as you make this journey with your father. God bless you!

I love “The Father’s House’. I will keep praying for you and your family and the completion of your book. I have not been able to read all of the chapters yet. But I look forward to purchasing your book so I can really reflect even more on how to see God as a good and loving father. I had three fathers. My biological father I never knew. My step-father was abusive to me, and my adopted father was a loving father but I was gun shy of fathers by that time so I kept him at a distance. The chapters I have read from your book is what I’ve been needing for a long time. Thank you and may God bless you as you finish the final chapters of your book. Please let me know when the book will be available.
